Fruit Salad
Making a fruit salad is quite simple and a delicious way to enjoy a variety of fruits. Here’s a basic recipe to get you started:
Ingredients:
1 cup strawberries, hulled and sliced
1 cup blueberries
1 cup pineapple, chopped
1 cup mango, chopped
1 cup kiwi, peeled and sliced
1 cup grapes, halved
1 banana, sliced
1 orange, peeled and segmented
1 tablespoon honey (optional)
1 tablespoon fresh lime juice (optional)
Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
Prepare the fruits: Wash all the fruits thoroughly. Hull and slice the strawberries, chop the pineapple and mango, peel and slice the kiwi, halve the grapes, and peel and segment the orange. Slice the banana just before mixing to avoid browning.
Mix the fruits: In a large bowl, gently toss all the prepared fruits together.
Add a dressing (optional): If you like, drizzle the honey and fresh lime juice over the fruit salad for added sweetness and a bit of tang. Toss the salad gently to coat the fruits evenly.
Garnish and serve: Garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired. Serve the fruit salad immediately for the best flavor and texture.
Tips:
Variation: You can use any fruits you like or have on hand. Apples, pears, and peaches are great additions too.
Chill: If you have time, chill the fruit salad in the refrigerator for about an hour before serving to let the flavors meld together.
